5SOS EVOLVE WITH CLUBSOS: The Ultimate 5SOS After Party & New Track
5 Seconds of Summer drop the instruments and turn to DJ’ing in their new ‘CLUBSOS’ concert as part of the Lollapalooza After Party shows at The Salt Shed in Chicago.
On Saturday 1 August the Australian band 5SOS took to The Salt Shed to play at a Lollapalooza After Party show. A couple days after the bands massive Lollapalooza set on Thursday 30 July.
The band, made up of Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin dropped the instruments and instead hosted the ultimate late-night celebration for fans to party with the band – something that turned out to be extremely ambitious, creative and incredibly well received.

Over on Instagram, Drummer and Vocalist Ashton Irwin described it as being all about taking a leap of faith and doing something different and leaning into the chaos of their insane Lollapalooza set.
He went on to describe what they were doing as creative, forward-thinking, risky and even hinted at the potential of taking CLUBSOS Worldwide over in his Instagram comments.

The night went on until 1am and consisted of the boys drinking on stage with some DJ Decks, partying out to a crowd of fans, performing remixes of their songs and some other songs – including a fan favourite mashup of Harry Styles’ Ready, Steady, Go with 5SOS’s Telephone Busy. They even livestreamed the entire set from the DJ decks on TikTok for any fans that couldn’t be in attendance.
It was messy, it was fun and they looked like they were having the time of their life – and the fans seemed to love it too.

The band even brought out special guest bbno$ to perform with fans saying it's like their worlds have collided, and some fans even calling it the collab of the century online.

Since CLUBSOS was so well recieved the band has since announced they'll be adding Evolve CLUBSOS on Friday, August 14. You can presave it here.
Many eager fans have noticed it's actually titled "Evolve" CLUBSOS VOL.1. Hinting at various volumes of CLUBSOS recorded songs and live performances migt be on their way...
It’s safe to say CLUBSOS was the complete opposite to their Orchestral One Night Only Concert they did; The Feeling of Falling Upwards at the Royal Albert Hall in London in September 2022. The duality of the two shows showing just how incredibly talented 5 Seconds of Summer are – and just how loyal their fanbase is prepared to evolve with them through all of these different projects.

The band took a break from touring and releasing music after they finished The 5SOS Show World Tour in 2023, where each member has released solo music before coming back together to release their latest album Everyone’s a Star. 5SOS is currently touring their Everyone’s A Star Tour, which began in Belfast on 26 March 2026 at the SSE Arena, and is currently set to conclude on 6 December 2026 in Jakarta at Indonesia Arena – just days after the band celebrates their 15 Year Anniversary.

The current Everyone’s a Star World Tour breaks down different eras of 5 Seconds of Summer, and even includes a solo segment where each band member performs a song from their solo albums.
In a backstage interview after their Lollapolooza show, Bassist and Vocalist Calum Hood said “we’re always making new music, so hopefully there’s new music upon the horizon, and our 15 Years (as a band) is at the end of the year (Dec 3)”
Before Guitarist and Vocalist Michael Clifford added “we have so much planned for that”.
It’s safe to say that this is possibly the best time to be a 5sos fan, and the band have been making some bold moves lately, so who knows what they’ll do next.
