5 Seconds of Summer: Everyone’s a Star! World Tour

5 Seconds of Summer have evolved, and they’ve evolved into their best era yet.

Everyone’s A Star! Tour, began in Belfast on March 26, 2026 at the SSE Arena, and is currently set to conclude on December 6, 2026, in Jakarta at Indonesia Arena – just days after the band celebrates their 15-Year Anniversary.

The tour is named after and follows the bands sixth album "Everyone's A Star," which dropped November 14, 2025 – and is arguably their best album yet.

The 12-track album (plus four bonus tracks on a deluxe edition that dropped November 17, 2025), does the perfect mix of capturing the old 5SOS sound and evolving it into something they’ve never really done before.

The 5SOS boys play on a variety of concepts and explores the ironies of modern fame and internet culture.

They explore the "boyband" culture they've at times rejected throughout their career when the group formed in 2011, up until now where they’ve pivoted pretty much themed the album and tour around it. The album and live performances give off a pop-punk energy, in fact, this era seems very Britpop.

It turns out that playing on the stereotypes they used to hate and instead choosing to embrace them was the smartest decision the band could’ve made.

The Everyone’s a Star! Tour brings high energy fun and takes you through the phases of their bands career in an entertaining, light-hearted way using mixed media of pre recorded videos that play on screen to separate different “Acts”, and takes you through different 5SOS phases.

Lead Singer and Guitarist, Luke Hemmings described this tour “The last show we did, the Five Seconds of Summer Show, it felt like we unlocked our full evolution, or almost full evolution, as a band with mixing in the 10-year anniversary skits. It was more of treating it as an entertainment piece, as opposed to just ... (getting) out there and crank(ing) out some songs and play as a band. But it had multimedia and it was blurring the lines between the video and then the on-screen and onstage. It was really fun to do and it felt like the most "us" a show has been.

So, this time, because the characters that we have in this album, their egos are a bit more inflated, the show will reflect that.”

Despite the inflated ego persona’s, The 5 Seconds of Summer boys never miss a chance to insert as much connection with their audience throughout their shows as possible.

They personalise each show with a tailored PowerPoint slide of “how they sent a day” in the city they’re in using local tourist spots, food delicacies and references to other celebrities or musicians from the area that they’re performing in.

Playing up to the whole boyband culture, part way through the show the band host their “Boyband of the Year Award Show”, where conveniently 5 Seconds of Summer win every single time. The boys act out over the top reactions before they get up on stage and accept the award from the ‘presenter’ , which is always a lucky fan picked out from the audience who gets to stand on stage, meet the boys and hand over the trophy before the boys launch into singing the song “Boyband” from Everyone’s a Star!

The band also have surprise song segments, which they get fans to vote in a poll, giving them four options to choose from that differ each night. To present which secret song is chosen, another lucky fan gets selected to present where they hold a briefcase that they open with the winning song in it before the boys launch into performing.

 Another big thing about this tour which has been particularly nice is due the stage layouts at the arena shows, Irwin has a segment of the show where he’s brought out to drum front and centre of the stage rather than being on a riser at the back the whole time, bringing him up front and centre with the fans.  

It seems like so much thought has gone into this tour and the guys have packed in as many fan moments as possible.

The band took a break from touring and releasing music after The 5SOS Show World Tour ended in Prague on October 12, 2023. During the break each member has released solo music before coming back together to release their latest album “Everyone’s a Star!”.

But their solo work wasn’t just released as side projects and left. Instead, the band has woven it into the show during the Act IV segment of the show which they called “The Breakup” – playing on the rumours that floated round that the band was going to breakup. Meanwhile many fans online dub as the SoloSOS section, where we see with Hemmings Singing “Starting Line”, Irwin singing “Have U Found What Ur Looking For”, Hood singing “Don’t Forget You Love Me”, and Clifford singing “enough” all off their individual albums.

Luke has previously described this new post solo era of 5SOS as “the larger-than-life version of ourselves and we're back together. Especially after doing separate solo things, now together. We are like super, super 5SOS, I guess.”

While the tour is named after their latest album, the boys cover songs from all their previous albums too. Later on in the show they have a whole section in “Act VI – The Beginning” , dedicated to songs from their debut self-titled album “5 Seconds of Summer”, and their second album “Sounds Good Feels Good”.

Many are describing this tour as a “comeback” moment, with old casual listeners purchasing tickets and then going online to say they’ve become obsessed again.

But the truth is 5 Seconds of Summer never went away truly; everyone’s just been sleeping on them & quite clearly they’re now realising that they’ve been missing out.

Having gone to The 5SOS Show World Tour in Amsterdam back in 2023 – I remember are the time thinking that this was their best tour yet and I couldn’t ever imagine them beating that. But here we are, at the Everyone’s a Star! World Tour, where they’ve beaten it in every way imaginable. 

Who knows where they go from here? But as the band is rapidly approaching their 15-Year Anniversary, they might have a few more things up their sleeve.

In a backstage interview after their draw dropping performance at Lollapalooza in Chicago, Bassist and Vocalist Calum Hood said “we’re always making new music, so hopefully there’s new music upon the horizon, and our 15 Years (as a band) is at the end of the year (Dec 3rd)”

Before Guitarist and Vocalist Michael Clifford teasingly added “we have so much planned for that”.

Not only that, but they recently launched their latest project CLUBSOS during the Lollapalooza after shows, where the band dropped their instruments and remixed their songs on DJ decks, cracked open the beers and created the most insane 5 Seconds of Summer club environment for fans at the Salt Shed in Chicago. With Dummer and Vocalist, Ashton Irwin hinting online that it might not just have been a one-off performance.

It’s safe to say that this is possibly the best time to be a 5sos fan. Nobody knows what’s going to happen next, but what they do know is 5 Seconds of Summer only get better and better as they evolve as the years go by.

Hemmings described the Everyone’s a Star! World Tour as a “once in a lifetime opportunity”, and having seen the show myself – it’s safe to say I agree.

If you have the chance, then The Everyone’s a Star! World Tour is certainly your best chance to see 5 Seconds of Summer at their peak (so far).
