Australia
Visiting Australia seems to be a rite of passage for many people chasing adventure travel opportunities. While Australia is notorious for being an incredible surf destination, it’s full of plenty more adrenaline-chasing and thrilling activities.
From multi-day adventures across Whitsundays or Fraser Island (K’gari), scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef or sand surfing on sand dunes. There is something for everyone in Down Under.

K'gari (also commonly known as Fraser Island), and Whitsundays are two particularly popular destinations for adventure travellers exploring Australia.
If you're only in Australia for limited time, you can do singular day trips to these places, but I'd recommend spending 2-3 days at each to really get the best experience.
Fraser Island and Whitsundays are both located on the East Coast, if you have the chance you should definitely try to experience both!

Switzerland
An adventure traveller's dream, Switzerland is home to Europe's largest waterfall, Rhine Falls; as well as the Swiss Alps, which comprise almost all of the highest mountains of the Alps.

Iceland
Iceland is what I would describe as the ultimate adventure travel destination. There really is something for everyone, all year round.
What I love is the diversity of the activities available, from chasing the northern lights to hiking glaciers, swimming in hot springs, or scuba diving between two continents' tectonic plates.
Out of everywhere I’ve been, Iceland definitely sits in one of my favourite countries. It’s somewhere I can’t get enough of, and is a perfect place to tick off many of those bucket list activities.

Morocco
Morocco, one of the 11 African countries that house the Shara Desert and one of the three African countries which house the Atlas Mountains. Morocco is an incredible option for adventure travellers.
From sandboarding in the desert, to hot air balloon rides, as well as exploring waterfalls and ancient cities, there is bound to be something here to satisfy those thrill-seeking cravings.

Greece
Greece is made up of roughly 6,000 islands and islets, approximately 227 are inhabited. This means there is endless adventure to explore. While each Greek island is unique. There are some that might attract adventure travellers more than others.
A few notable islands are Naxos, Paros, Lefkada, and Lemnos - which are a water sports paradise, popular spots for windsurfing, kitesurfing, jet skis, boat trips, wakeboarding and much more.
Thassos, Greece’s northernmost island, draws in top mountain bikers. While Greece’s most populated island, Crete, is a popular choice for hiking and gorge walking.
Kefalonia possesses dramatic landscapes, with it being home to the likes of Myrtos Beach, Melissani Cave. Kefalonia is a short hop over to the island of Zakynthos, where the shipwreck beach intrigues many visitors. Both of these islands also offer loads of opportunities for turtle sightings. If you’re lucky, you might have the chance to swim with them in the wild.
Islands such as Milos offers unique geological formations to explore, such as Kleftiko Caves. Milos is also a popular destination for cliff jumping and swimming in the sea.
